DENVER—Denver International Airport says it set another monthly traffic record in April, but it expects a decline towards year’s end because of airline cuts and the weaker economy.
More than 4 million travelers used DIA in April, up 1 percent from April 2007. Through April of this year, more than 16.4 million passengers used the airport, compared to 15.6 million in the first four months of 2007.
Aviation manager Kim Day says jet fuel prices, airline cuts and the slumping economy could bring a reduction in passenger traffic in the final months of the year.
