
“The Last Polar Bear: Facing the Truth of a Warming World” is a photography exhibit of 40 images by nature photographer Steven Kazlowski, who spent nearly a decade on and off in the Alaskan Arctic. It hits the Burke Museum in Seattle from June 28 to Dec. 31 before traveling to the Longmont Museum and Cultural Center Jan. 24-April 5. Storytelling in Colonial Williamsburg
Eight nationally acclaimed storytellers will share their talents during “Spinning Stories/Spanning Time: A Weekend of Stories Old and New” Sept. 19-21 in Williamsburg, Va., during the area’s fourth annual storytelling festival. The event will take place at Bassett Hall, the former home of John D. Rockefeller Jr., and other venues throughout the area, and hotel packages are available. A wine- and-cheese storytelling evening is planned. Weekend passes are available for $75 for adults, $35 ages 6-17; individual events tickets also can be purchased.
