NEBRASKA — The Nebraska State Patrol seized nearly 5 pounds of cocaine and a handgun after stopping a speeding vehicle on Interstate 80, the agency said.
A trooper stopped an eastbound vehicle with Colorado license plates on Thursday. The trooper noticed a handgun in the glove compartment.
A search of the vehicle led to the seizure of 4.8 pounds of cocaine, the agency said.
The driver, 21, from Aurora, and a passenger, 37, of Littleton were arrested on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon and possession of cocaine with the intent to deliver.
