Is it just us, or are the days gloriously long again? This week, contributors to The Denver Post $25 Haiku Contest contemplated “solstice” in advance of Saturday, the official longest day of the year. While we loved Jason Evan Trow’s entry for its poetic merits alone, we gave him extra points for having a mailing address that’s haiku, too:
earth bows to the sun
the summer hangs suspended
now it will go south
