
One of the more exciting projects set for the Democratic National Convention is The Presidential Experience. If all goes according to plan, this will be a wild, interesting, interactive visit to an exact replica of the desk-side of the Oval Office during the Clinton years. Also, a president’s limo, Air Force One (the fuselage of a Boeing 707, a replica of the plane used by Presidents Kennedy through Reagan), gowns worn by first ladies and more. Visitors will also get a chance to meet some some authors with plenty to say about being president.
The working list of authors to stop by for book signings during the four-day DNC includes Madeleine Albright, Maya Angelou, Jimmy Carter, Stephen Colbert, Maureen Dowd, Elizabeth Edwards, John Edwards, Al Franken, Newt Gingrich, Al Gore, Bill Moyers, Nancy Pelosi, Robert Reich, Frank Rich, Cokie Roberts and Donald Shriver.
It’s going to be that kind of week. Oh yeah.
Trump’s a trouper.
Ivanka Trump was the star of last weekend’s Food & Wine Classic in Aspen — but getting there was the hard part.
She was a day late, but not a dollar short.
Trump was flying commercial to Aspen when storms forced her plane down in Salt Lake City for the night, the New York Post reports.
The famously unprissy heiress spent the night at the Quality Inn in SLC and ate at Little Caesars, using her $18 dinner voucher from the airline.

3 Sons Italian Restaurant, a Denver institution since 1965, has a big “FOR SALE” sign out front at 2915 W. 44th Ave. Owner Michael Scarafiotti says he doesn’t own the building, and he’s looking to move the restaurant to Arvada. But he is OPEN at the current location at least through 2008.
And that’s a lotta spaghetti.

Some confusion surrounded the scheduled airings of Stephanie Riggs’ doc about Denver kids, “Fitting In.” It’ll run June 28 on CET: Comcast Entertainment Television at 6 p.m., and beginning June 30, it’ll be available on Comcast Colorado Video On Demand for two months.
Lifetime TV has optioned “Orange, Mint and Honey,” the first novel from Denver writer Carleen Brice.
