“Q” has made his mark in the big leagues, and even though Troy Tulowitzki is expected to return to the lineup and take his place as the starting shortstop tonight, Omar Quintanilla will remain with the Rockies.
“Omar has shown he’s very capable, a tough defender,” general manager Dan O’Dowd said Thursday. “He played with some (injuries) that many guys would have sat out with. He’s shown us that he’s a winning player for a championship-level team.”
