COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—State health officials say a Colorado Springs woman is the third person in the state to contract a strain of salmonella linked to tomatoes.
The El Paso County Department of Health and Environment said Friday the woman has recovered.
The tainted tomatoes have sickened more than 550 people nationwide.
U.S. Food and Drug Administration inspectors are heading for farms in Florida and Mexico in search of the source of the tomatoes. The FDA has not identified the farms they will check.
