United Airlines officials are investigating the cancellation of a flight between Salt Lake City and Denver where the pilot allegedly told passengers he was “too upset to fly.” United Airlines spokeswoman Robin Urbanski said Friday that flight 416, scheduled to depart at 4:46 p.m. Thursday, was canceled, but she did not elaborate on a passengers’ account of the reason told to Denver station KUSA-TV.
Urbanski says the captain said the crew was not prepared to fly and followed proper procedure for situations where crew members feel unfit to fly. She said such a move is rare and unfortunate.
Before the cancellation, she said there was some an incident at the gate between a captain and first officer from a flight that arrived in Salt Lake City and a captain and first officer flying on to Denver.
