The Colorado Department of Transportation is closing multiple lanes of southbound Interstate 25 over Santa Fe today to make expansion joint repairs.
Currently, only the ramp from southbound Santa Fe Drive to southbound I-25 is closed at this time.
Two through lanes of southbound I-25 will be closing shortly, leaving only the far right lane open.
Motorists will still be able to exit off of southbound I-25 to Santa Fe Drive.
“Our goal is to have the lanes open by rush hour, but there is a strong possibility that the closures will extend through the rush hour,” said Mindy Crane of CDOT public relations.
Major delays are expected and alternate routes are strongly advised.
