AIR FORCE ACADEMY — The case against Air Force Master Sgt. Gregory Brooks, who was charged last year with raping another military member after a social event, indecent assault, adultery, soliciting another to commit a crime and failure to obey a lawful order or regulation, will not be referred to court martial.
After an Article 32 hearing, Lt. Gen. John Regni, the superintendent of the Air Force Academy, was presented with a report from an investigation officer. Upon reviewing the report, Regni decided not to move the case forward to a general court martial. The Air Force said in legal documents that the alleged rape occurred July 28, 2006.
Meade Warthen, a spokesman for the academy, said Friday that he could not provide any further information about the case.
