COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A former cashier with Colorado Springs Utilities is being ordered to serve 90 days in jail and pay more than $370,000 restitution for stealing money over a nearly four-year period.

Sixty-nine-year-old Donna Inzer appeared in court Monday, and was also sentenced to 14 years of supervised probation. She had previously pleaded guilty to felony theft.

Inzer apologized in court, saying she knew what she did was wrong, and she was sorry for putting employees in harm’s way. She said some could have been suspended or lost their jobs because of her actions.

Fourth Judicial District Judge Larry Schwartz called the plea deal extremely favorable.

Inzer could face five years in prison if she fails to comply with the conditions of her probation.
