Andres Castillo, the survivor of a June 22 shootout with police in LoDo, was formally charged Tuesday with counts including attempted first-degree murder.
Castillo, 26, is accused of shooting at police after his cousin Mark Tabullo-Zuniga, 23, handed him a shotgun after he was fatally wounded by police at 18th and Market streets just before 2 a.m., when the bars were closing.
Police say Tabullo-Zuniga was arguing with another in a parking lot when gunfire erupted between the two men. Tabullo-Zuniga fired on police, who shot and killed him.
