DENVER — A woman was stabbed and two people were arrested Tuesday night in Curtis Park, Denver police said.

A large group of people was arguing before the stabbing about 7:30 p.m., Detective John White said.

The injured woman was rushed to Denver Health Medical Center.

The woman was wounded in her upper body, but police did not release her name or condition, and they did not name the two alleged assailants. White said he did not know the relationship of the people involved in the argument, and the cause of the clash is under investigation.

The stabbing happened just two blocks from where an 8-year-old girl was wounded in a drive-by shooting June 20. Daniel Steven Lujan, 20, and Victoria Esparza, 19, were charged Tuesday with attempted murder in that incident.
