An FBI team has finished searching for clues in the death of Kaysi McLeod and the disappearance of three others after finding a human bone in an area where some of Mc Leod’s remains were located last year.

“In the course of the three days, we did find a human bone and some other items of unknown significance,” FBI spokeswoman Kathy Wright said.

A hunter found bones last September in deep snow in Jackson County, and DNA taken from them matched that of McLeod, who was reported missing in August 2003.

Scott Kimball, a convict with a lengthy history of financial crimes, is a suspect in the death of McLeod and the disappearance of Jennifer Marcum, Leann Emry and Kimball’s 60-year-old uncle, Terry Kimball.

Scott Kimball is in federal custody on an unrelated weapons charge.
