DENVER—An immigrant rights group is planning a march during the Democratic National Convention in Denver next month to make sure the party doesn’t forget their cause.
Nita Gonzales of the We Are America Alliance said Wednesday she expects from 5,000 to 50,000 people at the march on Aug. 26, the second day of the Aug. 25-28 convention.
She says activists from across the West have expressed interest.
Gonzales says her group supports the Democrats’ immigration platform but is planning the march to ensure the party doesn’t forget them.
