Justin Robert Wilson, 24, of Morrison thought he was sharing sexually charged online chats with a 14-year-old girl in Westminster, police said.
But when he showed up to meet the girl in person today, he was arrested by Westminster police.
Police said Wilson had been chatting with an undercover officer with the Colorado Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Investigators said he used the screen name rebel_046.
Wilson was booked in the Jefferson County Detention Facility on charges of Internet luring of a child and Internet sexual exploitation of a child, both felonies.
