The Colorado Springs Sky Sox scored four times in the bottom of the eighth inning to break a tie and beat the Las Vegas 51s 10-6 in a Pacific Coast League baseball game in Colorado Springs on Saturday night.

Christopher Frey started the rally with a one-out single and moved up on a single by pinch-hitter Jonathan Herrera. Cory Sullivan walked to load the bases. Doug Bernier’s single scored Frey, then another single by Christian Colonel brought in Herrera. Yet another single, from Jayson Nix, on a line drive to center, scored two.

The rally made a winner out of Steven Register (4-1), who blew a save opportunity by allowing a run in the top of the eighth. Valerio De Los Santos started the game for the Sky Sox and gave up five earned runs and eight hits in 4 2/3 innings.
