CHICAGO — Athletics shortstop Bobby Crosby went on the 15-day disabled list Saturday with a strained left hamstring.

Crosby had started Oakland’s first 84 games this season before he was sidelined Thursday. His DL stint is retroactive to July 3, meaning he won’t be back until after the all-star break.

“Get this thing healthy so it doesn’t creep up again,” Crosby said before Saturday’s game against the White Sox.
