Three people reported being hit by lightning in Rocky Mountain National Park this afternoon.
Rangers were notified by a cellphone call about 12:20 p.m. of the strike near Mills Lake, about 2.8 miles from the Glacier Gorge Trailhead, the National Park Service said in a news release.
Two men and a woman were walking down the trail when rangers found them.
Lightning struck near a group of eight people, the release said, and initial confusion led rangers to believe four people had been hit. That was later found to be incorrect.
