ASPEN, Colo.—Two teens injured after a lightning strike near Aspen while they were hiking with their family are out of the hospital.

Pitkin County sheriff’s officials initially said the family was from Idaho but said Tuesday the family is from Jefferson, Iowa.

They say 15-year-old Elizabeth Jacobson lost consciousness after she was struck Sunday on a trail. Her parents performed CPR, and she was able to walk with help to the trailhead.

Sheriff’s officials say Nathaniel Jacobson suffered burns to the bottom of his feet, and Paul Jacobson was knocked out. Authorities say both are about 17 years old.

The Children’s Hospital says Elizabeth and Nathaniel are now out of the hospital. Authorities say Paul did not have to go to the hospital.
