COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Two Paralympic track and field athletes from California have accepted suspensions for doping offenses, the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency said Friday.
Royal Mitchell, 25, and Nelacey Porter, 23, both of Chula Vista, tested positive for tetrahydrocannabinol acid June 13 at the U.S. Paralympic Track & Field Trials, USADA said.
Their results at the trials were disqualified, due to the violation.
Both accepted a three-month period of ineligibility and agreed to participate in an anti-doping educational program, USADA said. They would receive a period of deferment of remaining sanctions after completing the program.
