LONGMONT — Longmont police arrested gang members late Friday night believed to be responsible for hundreds of acts of vandalism in northwest Longmont, authorities say.

Devin Koenig, 18, and six juvenile gang members were arrested just after 11 p.m. in an apartment at 3200 Lake Park Way, according to Cmdr. Tim Lewis, spokesman for the Longmont Police Department.

Koenig was arrested for investigation of felony contributing to the delinquency of a minor, juvenile drinking and possession of marijuana. The juveniles were arrested for investigation of marijuana possession and underage drinking.

The juveniles were booked and released to their parents and given court dates. They include a 16-year-old girl and five boys ranging from 15 to 17. The vandalism caused thousands of dollars in damage to private and public property, Lewis said. Kirk Mitchell, The Denver Post
