BOULDER, Colo.—A Superior man has been airlifted to a Denver hospital after falling during a climbing outing in Eldorado Canyon State Park.
The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office says emergency crews responded to the scene just inside the park about 6:50 p.m. Sunday on a report that a man had fallen about 50 feet.
Responders discovered an unresponsive male with head lacerations. Witnesses reported the man had been climbing up a rock face when he fell.
The victim is being described only as a 47-year-old Superior resident.
Authorities say he was wearing safety gear at the time of the accident.
