DENVER—Summit County authorities say Denver Water must open Dillon Dam Road by 2 p.m. Wednesday or face possible legal action.
The Lake Dillon Fire Protection District issued a notice of violation to the water board Tuesday.
Dillon Reservoir in Summit County is the primary source of Denver’s water. The water board put up gates because of unspecified security concerns.
Summit County says the gates violate fire codes and are a safety hazard.
The Denver Water Board says it’s reviewing the notice.
