LARIMER COUNTY — The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office reported Thursday that a Maryland hiker missing since Tuesday has been found near Estes Park.
Patrick Higgins, 52, was camping with the Men’s Leadership Alliance of Boulder on Tuesday when he set out on a solo hike about noon.
About 1 p.m. Thursday, the crew of a Civil Air Patrol plane reported spotting someone they thought could be Higgins. Two rescuers hiked into the canyon and confirmed Higgins’ identity. He was hungry, dehydrated and exhausted.
