OF Matt Miller, Tulsa
Double-A Tulsa outfielder Matt Miller leads the Rockies’ organization in hitting (.350) and hits (135).
Over the past 10 games entering weekend play, Miller hit at a .385 clip, with 15 hits in 39 at-bats, including three doubles, two home runs and 11 RBIs.
Marc Gustafson, the Rockies’ director of player development, tabs Miller as the “first candidate” to move up to Triple-A Colorado Springs if his department decides to promote from within when outfielder Seth Smith leaves the Sky Sox to play on the U.S. Olympic team.
Miller is having a comeback season, having hit .262 last year in Tulsa. Irv Moss, The Denver Post
