Cue the “Spam Song”

The annual SPAM recipe contest focuses on appetizers this year. Past winners include a spicy Hawaiian Spam sandwich, Spam muffins and cunning Spam “sushi” Musubi Man fashioned with gingerbread cookie-cutters. Two categories: Adult (grand prize: trip to Spam Jam 2009 in Waikiki) and youth ($2,000 prize).

Led by Metro State University history instructor Kevin E. Rucker, part of the school’s “Countdown to the 2008 Democratic National Convention” Wednesday lecture series.
