BILLINGS, Mont.—A Colorado woman has been named vice chancellor and provost at Montana State University-Billings.

D’Ann Campbell is scheduled to start work in August.

Campbell is the director of American History Projects, which designs programs used in teaching history to students in the elementary school grades through high school. She holds a doctorate in history from the University of North Carolina and was dean of academics at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

At MSU-Billings, Campbell will succeed George White, interim provost for the past three years. The provost directs the planning and assessment of academic programs.
