COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A Colorado Springs state trooper is under arrest in a Fort Lupton Internet sting aimed at trapping sexual predators.
Fort Lupton Police Chief Ron Grannis says 22-year-old Justin Tolman allegedly became sexually aggressive with an officer posing as a 14-year-old girl. Grannis says Tolman communicated for two months with the officer via a MySpace.com page and a Yahoo profile the officer created.
Grannis says Tolman sent pictures of himself, including one in his uniform posing next to his patrol car.
Tolman was being held at the Weld County jail on suspicion of sexual exploitation of a child and Internet-luring of a child. He is on administrative leave pending the outcome of the case.
