GENOA, Colo.—The Colorado State Patrol says a couple was killed after their car rolled twice and they were ejected on the interstate.
The couple’s 9-month-old baby was also ejected from the vehicle but he survived with moderate injuries.
The State Patrol says the accident happened Saturday night after the driver lost control of his Chevrolet Venture and struck the median, going airborne on Interstate 70. Killed in the crash was 21-year-old driver Travis B. Carroll and 19-year-old female Heather L. Carroll. Both were not wearing seatbelts.
A fourth passenger and grandfather of the baby, 66-year-old Gary Wilson, was wearing a seatbelt and survived the crash but suffered serious injuries.
The family was from Wichita, Kan.
