An 8-year-old boy drowned when the inflatable kayak that he and his father were paddling overturned on the Green River in Moffat County.
Owen Gerson of Woodstock, N.Y., and his family were taking part in a commercial whitewater rafting trip in Dinosaur National Monument when the kayak tipped Sunday.
Meanwhile, a teenager who drowned in a lake north of Boulder on Wednesday has been identified by authorities as Noah Janssen.
Janssen, 18, of Boulder, was swimming with friends between floating lake docks in the Lake Valley Golf Club subdivision.
