Ascendant Development Corp. and Woodspear Properties have sold a 44-acre site at Interstates 70 and 25 to Brighton Corp. of Boise, Idaho, for $48.3 million.
Ascendant had purchased the site, which used to house The Denver Post printing plant, for $19.7 million from the Denver Newspaper Agency in February.
Ascendant’s plans for the land were derailed when the Regional Transportation District expressed interest in acquiring the property for mass- transit uses. Brighton said it has two national tenants interested in the site but may seek rezoning if RTD puts in a rail stop on the property.
