DENVER—Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper says art shows, debates, historical displays and other events will be open to the public during the Democratic National Convention next month.
Public events include a film festival on democracy at the Red Rocks Amphitheater, a mock-up of the Oval Office and displays of presidential memorabilia.
Also planned are round-table debates including former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, former Sen. Tom Daschle and actor-director Ben Affleck.
Hickenlooper announced the public events on Thursday.
He calls it an “amazing list” that will let residents get involved in the convention.
