Stay here if you: want an affordable hotel in the middle of everything — restaurants, shopping, the monorail and tourist attractions.
It’s close to: downtown Seattle — it’s a short walk to the Seattle Center and Pike Place Market.
The rooms are: dated but clean. It’s certainly not a posh place, but the bed was comfortable, and the hotel’s location made seeing the sights easy.
They put all of the money into: the restaurant and lobby.
The bottom line: Our trip to Seattle was about finding good restaurants and seeing the tourist attractions. The Sixth Avenue Inn allowed us to abandon our car for a few days and explore the city on foot, saving at least $20 in parking fees and the hassle of navigating by car. This hotel, while not the most extravagant place, offered us convenience and simplicity.
