WELLINGTON — A freak microburst of wind touched down at Poudre Reservoir No. 6 on Saturday afternoon and tossed an inflatable playhouse around, injuring five children.

One child, reported in serious condition, was flown to Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland. The others were taken to area medical facilities. An adult with the children refused treatment for minor injuries, said Patrick Love of the Poudre Fire Authority.

The playhouse was on the beach of the reservoir about 4 miles north of Fort Collins. It was tossed and hit a steel pole, Love said. Mike McPhee, The Denver Post
