RIVERSIDE, Calif. — A federal judge has rejected a mistrial motion in a copyright-infringement case pitting Mattel against the maker of the popular Bratz dolls.

In his ruling Monday, U.S. District Judge Stephen G. Larson discounted arguments made by MGA Entertainment after a juror was dismissed July 25 for allegedly using racial slurs during previous deliberations.
