Paris Hilton wants American voters to know she’s “totally ready” to lead the country, even though she’ll have to wait at least eight years to run for president because she’s just 27.
The socialite and pop personality has fired back at Republican John McCain’s use of her image in an ad comparing Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s worldwide celebrity with that of the Hilton Hotel chain heiress. Tongue in cheek, she tweaks both McCain and Obama in the video done for the comedy website Funny or Die.
“I’m a celebrity too, only I’m not from the olden days and I’m not promising change like that other guy,” Hilton, sitting poolside and clad in a leopard-print swimsuit, says. “I’m just hot. But then, that wrinkly, white-haired guy used me in his campaign ad, which I guess means I’m running for president.”Bloomberg News
