Advocacy groups and the American Civil Liberties Union said Thursday that they won’t appeal a federal judge’s ruling that upheld the security plans of police and the city of Denver during the Democratic National Convention.

But Glenn Spagnuolo, a leader of Re-create 68, threatened to violate the ruling by marching to the Pepsi Center regardless of police response.

“We are going to file our appeal in the street,” Spagnuolo said.

The groups had sued the government, challenging the security restrictions.
