Colorado State sophomore cornerback DeAngelo Wilkinson has been suspended indefinitely for breaking a team rule. It was not disclosed what the violation was.

The third-year sophomore coming off shoulder surgery was expected to compete for extensive playing time.

Cornerback is a key area of concern for the Rams this season. Walkon junior Nick Oppenneer and redshirt freshman Brandon Owens took over the position last spring while three others, including Wilkinson, were sidelined by injuries.

This is the first known team rules suspension under new coach Steve Fairchild, who did not want to go into details.
