AURORA, Colo.—Westbound Interstate 70 has reopened at state Highway C-470 in Aurora following a fiery seven-vehicle crash that included at least one semitrailer.

Westbound lanes were closed for about 5 1/2 hours after the crash, which occurred about 8:25 a.m. Friday east of Pena Boulevard, the road leading to Denver International Airport.

Colorado State Patrol Trooper Gilbert Mares says investigators had to reconstruct the accident, causing a delay in getting the road back open.

Authorities say no one was killed. Several people were taken to area hospitals with injuries, but it’s unclear how many.

The extent of the injuries is unknown.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
