While his teammates casually chatted with the media before Saturday’s Team USA practice, Carmelo Anthony sprinted up and down the court, sweating like it was the fourth quarter.
The Nuggets’ Anthony “could be in better shape,” according to Jerry Colangelo, the managing director Team USA.
During the team’s practice, while the rest of the team wore sleeveless jerseys, Anthony wore a sweat-drenched baggy shirt.
“I don’t want to make a big deal of it,” Colangelo said, “but I just feel in looking at where he was the last two summers, and making a comparison, he seems to be a little heavier.”
