Aurora police have a man in custody after an early morning stabbing near East Colfax Avenue and North Beeler Street resulted in the death of another man.
The stabbing apparently followed an altercation between the two men, neither of whom have been identified.
Police found a man in his 30s who had been stabbed in the upper body when they responded to a call about 2:20 a.m. Sunday, according to a release.
He was taken to a local hospital where he died a short time later.
A witness pointed out the suspect as he fled the scene. He is being held on first-degree homicide charges.
Investigators want to complete their investigation before releasing the suspect’s name.
