Four 16-year-old boys from Broomfield, Westminster, Lakewood and Colorado Springs have been arrested by Lakewood police on suspicion of vandalizing more than 50 cars and trucks in the Green Mountain area last month.
Investigators think the boys threw large landscaping rocks at parked vehicles during a wilding that started around 9 p.m. on July 2 and ended about 1 a.m. Lakewood police estimated the damage at $20,000, but the figure could be higher because some victims may not have reported damage to police.
The boys, who were not identified because they are juveniles, face charges of felony criminal mischief in Jefferson County District Court.
