AURORA — Police are investigating the death of a 3-month-old girl who was found unconscious and not breathing in her home Tuesday.
Emergency medical crews were called at 7:45 a.m. to the home in the 15200 block of East Eighth Avenue, said Shannon Lucy, Aurora police spokeswoman. An autopsy performed Wednesday was inconclusive, Lucy said. However, toxicology tests could take up to six weeks to complete, she said.
“We don’t know whether there was any criminal activity,” Lucy said.
She declined to say what the mother’s explanation of her daughter’s death was.
