The most impressive rookie at Broncos training camp?
It’s gotta be Terrence Miles.
What’s that? You’ve never heard of Terrence Miles? Good thing. The NFL doesn’t necessarily want you to know who he is.
FYI, he’s a rookie back judge, and he’s from Denver. I know because we used to work together at a local radio station before he went and hit the big time.
This is where I’m supposed to pop in a quote from my man T about his new gig, but it isn’t going to happen. The league likes its officials to be incognito, so he had to pass on my interview request.
Fair enough. I probably would have asked a bunch of stupid questions anyway.
What I can tell you is this: Miles has earned the opportunity. He worked three years in the Mountain West and four more in the Big 12 before getting the call from the NFL.
He was on the field last January when LSU played Ohio State in the BCS national championship game. And some day, he may be on the field during the Super Bowl.
Way to go, T. Wait, I didn’t say that. I’ve never heard of the guy.
