A 31-year-old man has been arrested on charges of raping a 71-year-old West Glenwood Springs woman, the Garfield County Sheriff’s office said today.
Dale Roy Loper was arrested Tuesday and charged with six felonies, including sexual assault with a deadly weapon, sexual assault on an at-risk adult and sexual assault in which a victim received serious bodily injury.
He is also charged with felony counts of burglary, menacing and criminal trespassing.
Loper is being held in the Garfield County Jail on an $85,000 bond.
The alleged attack happened on May 29.
