GEORGETOWN — Westbound Interstate 70 was closed for two hours at the Eisenhower Tunnel on Friday after a seven-vehicle accident being blamed on inclement weather.
The Colorado Department of Transportation closed the roadway about 11:25 a.m. Friday after a pileup that involved at least one semi-truck and two sport utility vehicles just west of the tunnel.
Slushy, wet conditions were reported in the area, along with some hail.
There was no word on injuries.
The highway reopened about 1:35 p.m.
