GOLDEN — A former Evergreen band and music teacher was sentenced Tuesday to 15 years to life in prison for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old student.

William Robert Eisenman, 33, was convicted in June of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust as a pattern of conduct and providing alcohol to a minor.

Testimony was presented during the trial of 21 sexual acts between Eisenman and the girl, a student at Evergreen High School, between March 1, 2007, and May 18, 2007, including at the school, in his car, in his home and at two motels.

Eisenman was found not guilty of unlawful sexual contact for touching the breast of another Evergreen High student, who was 18.

“There’s no words to convey how sorry, how incredibly sorry I am,” Eisenman told Jefferson County District Judge Tamara Russell before she passed sentence.

Eisenman apologized to the two teenagers, saying he hopes they will recover “from this mess.” Ann Schrader, The Denver Post
