GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—A 17-year-old boy is under arrest in Mesa County after the alleged kidnapping of a girl near a Clifton school.

Witnesses told authorities they saw the boy kidnap a teenage girl Tuesday near Rocky Mountain Elementary School.

Deputies located the teen at a Clifton home about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Sheriff’s office spokeswoman Heather Benjamin says the boy was arrested on suspicion of second-degree kidnapping and reckless endangerment.
