COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Colorado Springs police are investigating an early-morning stabbing death.
Officers responded to a residence east of the U.S. Olympic training center at about 2 a.m. Wednesday and found a man who had been stabbed.
The man was taken to Memorial Hospital Central, where he died.
Police identified the victim as 23-year-old Nicholas Murphy of Colorado Springs.
Authorities say an altercation occurred involving several people, including Murphy and some of his family members.
Two people were seen running from the area around Murphy’s home and are being sought.
An autopsy is planned.
